Description |
Front side of Drexel University's first building, photographed from the Southwest. It bears the name 'Drexel Institute' carved on top of the arched door. It was designed by the Wilson brothers, the designers of Reading Terminal in Center City, and built in 1891. The building makes one think of some kind of Oriental temple, because of its super-baroque decorations.
