Place USA – New Mexico. Taos Pueblo, North House.
Description Hlaauma or North House, the most photographed of the two large structures in Taos Pueblo.
The natural cooling solution here came from packing together independent housing units, leaving very little space for sunlight to come in. Besides, using thick mud walls helped to thermally insulate the interior.
